We have designed a modular programme based on years of experience in leading workshops and projects and from our training and professional work.
The modular programme is designed to progress learning, experience and skills, with each module building from the last.
Module 1 is the introduction to Logic Pro with Live Recording, Music Production and Understanding Equipment, delivered via active practical learning by producing a piece of Music designed to be performed live.
Module 2 is the introduction to Live Performance. This module will focus on live performance software and hardware, sound engineering and performance skills. Using the industry standard live performance software and associated hardware Ableton Live, Traktor and Serato, Mixing Desks and Sound Equipment and using the music they created in Module 1
These first 2 modules are core foundation modules for learning the software and hardware, skills and knowledge to run equipment individually and also to gain an understanding of a school’s own equipment, allowing a group or individuals to continue learning. A 12 session programme is advised for each of these modules and can be adapted for longer periods.
Module 3 is our advanced programme focusing on Music Production and Live Performance, taking what has been learned in the first 2 modules and developing this to a higher standard.
Module 4 is a masterclass for pupils who wish to take things one step further still. This module delivers training to pupils so they can operate school equipment and teach and lead sessions for peers and teachers.
Module 5 is our new programme designed specifically for theatre and film. We can tailor the module to be a stand alone programme, or it can be a follow on from Modue 1. We also run an advanced module to follow this, available on request.
All modules will create a basis for further study, and all can be tailored to the needs of pupils and classes.
